EMPLOYEE PROFILES

 

 

 

Allison is the CEO and Founder of Blackman Detective Services and is a North Carolina Wesleyan College graduate and retired Raleigh Homicide Detective after 30 years of service. Upon retirement in 1993, Blackman Detective Services was founded.

Combining his investigative knowledge, skills, experience and customer dedication with a highly skilled Team of Professionals, Mr. Blackman has produced an investigation company providing superb services for: law firms, insurance industry professionals, government agencies as well as public and private businesses and individuals.

Mr. Blackman has played an integral role in numerous high profile investigations, most recently as one of the two lead investigators for the defense on the Duke Lacrosse investigation.

Mr. Blackman is a member of various professional organizations and associations, such as Better Business Bureau, North Carolina Association of Private Investigators, National Association of Legal Investigators, and International Association of Special Investigation Units. Additionally, he has appeared as a guest speaker for television programs such as: Court TV & Forensic Files.

Allison holds a Private Investigator license in the States of North & South Carolina.

 
  Mallie is the Executive Vice President and has been with Blackman Detective Services since 1995.

His background and expertise includes: Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina Wesleyan College, Honorable Discharge as Sergeant in the U.S. Army, Major Crimes Task Force Resource Officer with the Raleigh Police Department, as well as numerous Law Enforcement Certifications.

Mallie brings strong organizational skills; excellent time management techniques and dedication to detail as he oversees Internal Operations and leads our Business and Domestic Investigation Unit. Mr. Bissette continues to be a primary leader on our Executive Team, as well.

Mr. Bissette holds a Private Investigator license in the State of North Carolina.

 

 

Ray is the Vice President of Operations for Blackman Detective Services. His professional expertise is in executive protection and corporate fraud, specializing in intellectual property rights and due diligence. The backbone of Ray’s career is international fraud matters where he has completed projects for clients in Europe, Asia and Central America.  These include such notable cases as the South Korean anti-trust case involving semiconductor dumping and the counterfeit automobile parts scandals from the mid 90s.

 

Over the past ten years, he has worked in support of numerous law firms as well as state, local and federal government agencies and numerous Fortune 500 companies.  Ray also spent several years working on various research projects for the RAND Corporation.

 

Ray has played an integral role in numerous high profile cases, most recently as the lead digital forensicist for the defense on the Duke Lacrosse case.

 

Ray is a member of numerous professional organizations such as ASIS, the American Society for Industrial Security. 

 

Mr. Grunch currently specializes in digital and computer forensics.  He holds a Commonwealth of Virginia Compliance Manager's Certificate along with a Qualified Manager’s Certification for Private Investigator and Security licenses (PI/PPO) in the State of California. 

 

  John is a Senior Case Manager for our Insurance Investigations Division. His unique combination of investigative skills culminate from prior training and experience as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps plus several years experience as Sergeant of the Major Crimes Task Force, Raleigh Police Department.

Since joining Blackman Detective Services, our clients have received cost saving results due to Mr. Beasley’s collaboration with our field investigators. Our clients appreciate Mr. Beasley’s professionalism, attention to detail, excellent time management skills and willingness to respond to urgent requests. Blackman Detective Services’ attributes much of our continued success to Mr. Beasley’s personal commitment to excellence.

Mr. Beasley holds a Private Investigator license in the State of North Carolina.

 

  Bill is head of forensic investigations and accident reconstruction.  He has 30 years of experience with the Wake County Sheriff's Office, CCBI and has worked cases with the FBI, ATF, US Secret Service and many other local, state and federal entities investigating crime scenes and accident reconstruction.

Bill can testify as an expert witness and is certified in fingerprint identification, arson, death investigations, blood splatter determination and has attended numerous schools including the FBI Academy.

Bill has played an integral role in numerous high profile cases, most recently as the lead crime scene and forensics investigator for the defense on the Duke Lacrosse case.

Mr. Hensley is a current or past member of numerous professional associations, including the North Carolina Forensic Association, Fraternal Order of Police, NC Homicide Investigators Association and the North Carolina Criminal Information Exchange.  He is also certified to instruct in over thirteen college and professional courses.

 

 

Tanja is a Paralegal at BDS and is a native of Connecticut. 

Tanja received her paralegal degree from Branford Hall in 2002 and did her internship with a Personal Injury Attorney.

Tanja then went to work for a very large law firm specializing in Bankruptcy law and Real Estate, where she was a bankruptcy specialist.
